Revisiting. I see Monica's work in the family home regularly. It never ceases to amaze me. I am there alone. I stand and am moved. Her vision, her talent so eclectic.
It will endure for eternity. Her spirit is in her work. It is so special. It needs to be seen personally.
I am privileged to have access to her work.

Dear Colin
Words escape me which as you know is most unusual. Your lovely wifewas a genius and not only does the photograph show her loving mischievous eyes but her works portray a love and fondness for life and art rarely shown in others. The time you and the twins had with Monica must surely be treasured and her works will be constant reminders of great times together. Hi Monica, I am sure you are watching and listening. Four years since you left us and there is a big space now that you used to fill. I use it to often think about you and remember those wee chats we used to have. What are you working on now I wonder? Maybe one day you will show me as I never did see all the wonderful artworks you produced before now. Speak again soon.

Four years today have gone by now since you flew away leaving us all behind with only memories which we will cherish forever. The girls and I miss you every day but we have your beautiful works of art to remind us of your presence and how special you were to us and to everyone who knew you. Bye bye until we meet again.

I spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks stay with Colin and Monica during a break for a contract that I was working on with Colin and Steve Hornshaw, in Syria in 2006. Both myself and my wife Nicola are "on and off" artists who have produced works since early childhood. We are convinced that the level of skill that Monica displays in her works are a God given natural talent that comes from within, and cannot be taught. I was immensely impressed with the originality of the work that I was privileged to see during my stay, and this shines through in this wonderful website. Good luck with the proposed exhibition Colin. From Dave and Nicola now resident in Tasmania, Australia.

Monica forever! She was my best friend in our teenage and early youth time.All our secrets remain here with me forever.She was a beautiful person,sensitive,delicate,extremely fun to be with,happy,merry,appealling,charismatic,talkative,enthusiastic,optimistic,charming,lovable,loving,sweet, talented,mysterious...an artist!
I am the privileged owner of some of her early works in ceramics and three of her early paintings.
I might send photos of them to her family in future.Her art is delicate,mysterious,subtle,discrete, exactely like she was in real life.
May God embrace her special soul!

Monica forever!
Monica a fost prietena mea cea mai bună in anii de liceu și în anii tineretii ,până când nu "am mai ajuns-o din urma"!Rămâne pentru mine persoană care mi-a marcat definitiv viața. Toate secretele noastre din adolescență rămân la mine,pentru totdeauna.
Opera ei,delicată și subtilă, parca așteptând încă să fie clarificata ,conturată, apăsată, va rămâne mereu misterioasa,precum sufletul ei.Am privilegiul de a poseda câteva din operele ei din adolescență pe care le voi fotografia și le voi trimite pentru colecție.Nu stiu daca ea ar fi fost de acord sa devina publice, de aceea le voi trimite in privat,in lunile urmatoare.
Sunt un om privilegiat pentru ca ea e parte din viata mea.

I wasn't fortunate enough to witness Monica's works of art in her lifetime, but I am grateful for being able to admire her ceramics and paintings today. I am blown away by her gift, by her rigurous and exquisite works. Feels like I've been dreaming with my eyes wide open. Thank you, Colin Maclean, for bringing a spark of Monica to my present days.

I will always remember visiting Monica during the summer days when her daughters and I were still kids playing in the backyard. Thanks to her beautiful and inspiring artwork she will always remain present among us!
